Press your way to online journalism opts to be an online catch-basin for teachers, students, journalism practitioners, and blogging enthusiasts to communicate and to get connected for teaching and learning purposes. Its materials and content serve as source and reference materials in starting and sustaining participative journalism thereby creating a community of online high school papers.

About Him

Reynald M.Cacho is a trail blazing teacher of English at Lopez National Comprehensive High Comprehensive High School, Lopez, Quezon. While taking his Master of Education specialising language and literacy at the University of the Philippines Open University, he is very much interested to connect with the world of online journalism and educational networks. He envisions that online journalism will become part of the mainstream media for high school campus paper publication.

Mr. Cacho is presently the ischools lab manager, literacy coordinator, and National Competency Based Teachers Standard (NBTS) coordinator of his school. He teaches English IV to fourth year students science oriented class and struggling learners.

Recently, Mr. Cacho has been hailed as one of  the  featured members of telecenter.org with his featured group, English by all and for all. At present, he is the organiser and technical adviser of the The lightline, the first ever student online publication of his School. Being an innovative teacher, he pilots an online enrichment/enhancement program in English IV with his googlesite class, Reynald’s World.

His interests include ICT in teaching and learning, language and literacy, online journalism, literature, action researches, professional development centers and the likes.
